We are small but mighty strong; African American women who take honoring our Ancestors very seriously. Collectively, we have more than 80 years of genealogy research and history documenting experience.

Johnette Brooks, CEO

is a 20+ year Veteran Genealogist. She is Cum Laude graduate of Capella University. She hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology - Project Management. She spent 34 years in Corporate America prior to becoming disabled with Adult ADHD in 2006. She has presented locally at the Georgia Archives and the Atlanta History Center. She was a national presenter at the 2025 Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society Conference. Her success in documenting Georgia’s African American Heroes is unparalleled. She is a member of numerous Genealogy Societies throughout Georgia and the United States.

Gail Alexander, CFO

Gail has performed paralegal duties for over 25 years with Metro Atlanta law firms. She is also an Army veteran, a 30+ year Historian of Houston County, Georgia's African-American history, and a published author of two books entitled:  "We Came in Chains: History and Lineages of African American Families from Houston County, Georgia and "A Tale of Two Citizens: The Silenced History of the Freedom Movement and Black Women on the Front Lines of the Civil Rights Movement".

Jackie Herring, COO

Jackie is a 40+ year documentarian of African Americans in Alabama and she is also a 50+ year retired Registered Nurse (RN) Department Manager. She was a Docent for Oakland Cemetery and is a proud graduate of Grady School of Colored Nurses. She is a member of numerous Nursing Organizations and Genealogy Societies. Jackie is publishing her long awaited book on the History of Big Bethel AME Church. One of Atlanta’s oldest Black church founded during slavery.
